The improvement of animal cell based therapies and medical devices for Regenerative Medicine with translational to Human As veterinary clinicians, surgeons, pathologists and researchers, the members of this thematic line have large experience in the diagnosis, research and treatment of pets, farm and laboratory animals. In addition, this group has specialized elements in Genetics, Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Surgery and Microsurgery, Internal Medicine. Besides, experienced researchers in biological statistics tools used to support the clinical/pathological research, medical doctors and bioengineers make their contribution in this multidisciplinary team. Innovation in biomaterials and cell based therapies for Regenerative Medicine Health Biotechnology research evidences a strong and reference
activity aiming the Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering as critical are as of the Biomedicine and Biotechnology in a perspective of One Health Research programs are focused in nerve, vascular, muscle and bone regeneration, associating innovate biomaterials to autologous/ allogenic/ xenogenic stem cells, from extra
fetal sources, like the umbilical cord blood and matrix, the bone marrow, the sy novia membrane and dental pulp; remarkable results in nerve, vascular, skeletal muscle and bone tissue regeneration have been obtained favoring the involvement in the development of 4 cell based products / medical devices available in the market for Regenerative Medicine in Veterinary and Human.
